Sleep aid trial offers hope for restless nights in autistic kids

Summary
This study is testing whether the sleep medication zolpidem helps children with autism who have sleep problems. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo in 26 children and teenagers over 8 weeks, measuring sleep quality with sleep trackers and overnight sleep studies. The goal is to see if zolpidem safely improves how quickly they fall asleep and how well they stay asleep.
