Affordable cancer drug gets lab test against tough blood cancers

NCT ID NCT04234022

Summary

This study aims to see if a drug called Imuthiol (Zn-DDC), which has been safe in past trials, can kill cancer cells from patients with multiple myeloma or acute leukemia. Researchers will test the drug alone and combined with other medications on cells in a lab, using bone marrow samples donated by 70 patients. The goal is to gather evidence to see if this affordable drug should move into future treatment trials.
