Summary
This study tested whether taking zinc supplements could improve quality of life for patients with upper gastrointestinal cancers who were receiving chemotherapy. Researchers wanted to see if preventing zinc deficiency might help patients feel better during treatment. The study involved 17 patients who took zinc pills at different times during their first four months of chemotherapy.
