Could a simple zinc pill ease the hardship of cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT03819088

Summary

This small study tested whether taking zinc supplements could improve the day-to-day quality of life for patients with certain hard-to-treat stomach and digestive system cancers while they were undergoing chemotherapy. Researchers wanted to see if preventing zinc deficiency could help patients feel better during their treatment. Seventeen patients participated and were given zinc pills at different times during their first four months of therapy.
