Zinc deficiency linked to kidney damage in lupus patients?

NCT ID NCT06564181

First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study will check if people with lupus nephritis (kidney inflammation caused by lupus) have low zinc levels. Researchers will measure zinc in the blood and see if it relates to kidney function tests like creatinine and eGFR. The goal is to understand the connection, not to test a treatment. About 75 adults with lupus nephritis will participate.
