New study: can zavegepant stop migraines in patients already on prevention?
NCT ID NCT06401642
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether zavegepant (Zavzpret), a nasal spray already approved for migraines, works well and is safe for people who are also taking CGRP-targeting preventive medications. About 200 adults with 2-8 migraines per month will take zavegepant during an attack and report headache relief and side effects. The goal is to see if adding this rescue treatment helps when prevention alone isn't enough.
