New drug aims to shrink tough thyroid tumors before risky surgery

Summary
This study is testing if a new drug called zanzalintinib can shrink advanced thyroid tumors before surgery. The goal is to make the surgery safer and easier to perform for patients with complex, hard-to-remove cancers. Researchers will give the drug to about 45 adults, then measure how much the tumors shrink and monitor for any side effects.
