Tracking 3,600 kids to unlock diabetes secrets

Summary
This study aims to understand why some overweight adolescents develop type 2 diabetes while others do not. Researchers will closely follow 3,600 young people who are at high risk for the disease as they go through puberty. The goal is to gather detailed information about their health to help design better prevention and treatment methods in the future.
