First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving older, frail adults monthly transfusions of plasma from young, healthy donors is safe and can improve their immune health, thinking, and quality of life. Thirty people aged 55 to 95 with signs of frailty will receive 12 monthly treatments and be followed for another year. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce frailty and strengthen the immune system.
