Could a daily yoghurt help prevent diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06836752
Summary
This study aimed to see if eating yoghurt daily for 24 weeks could improve how the body handles sugar in people with prediabetes, a condition that often leads to type 2 diabetes. It planned to enroll 60 adults at high risk for diabetes but was terminated early after only 8 people joined. Participants were asked to avoid other dairy products first, then were assigned to either eat yoghurt or follow their usual diet while researchers measured changes in blood sugar and other health markers.
