Breath vs. muscle: Mind-Body therapies tested to ease transplant recovery
NCT ID NCT07066384
Summary
This study tested whether two simple mind-body techniques—breathing yoga and progressive muscle relaxation—could help people recover after a liver transplant. Researchers worked with 125 transplant recipients to see if these daily practices could reduce their pain, breathing problems, and fear of moving. One group practiced breathing exercises, another practiced muscle relaxation, and a third group received standard care for comparison over three months.
