First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study compares two popular exercise methods—hatha yoga and reformer Pilates—to see which one better improves posture, reduces pain, and enhances balance and quality of life in people with hyperkyphosis (excessive rounding of the upper back). Researchers will enroll 30 adults with postural hyperkyphosis who haven't had physiotherapy in the last 6 months. Participants will be assigned to one of the two exercise programs, and their progress will be measured using posture scales, pain scores, balance tests, and breathing function tests.
