Yoga may spark positive growth after concussion in women
NCT ID NCT07170488
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study explored whether a 6-week online yoga program could help women who had a mild concussion experience post-traumatic growth — positive psychological changes like finding new meaning or strength. 27 women from a Facebook group took part. The yoga sessions included gentle poses, breathing, and meditation. The goal was to see if yoga could improve scores on a growth questionnaire.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple, non-drug way to help women feel stronger and more positive after a concussion.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study with only 27 women, so results may not apply to everyone. It also only looked at short-term changes, not long-term recovery.
