New drug aims to shrink dangerous heart plaque
NCT ID NCT06700720
Summary
This study is testing if an experimental drug called YN001, given by IV infusion, can safely reduce the amount of plaque that builds up inside heart arteries. It will involve 24 adults in Australia who have coronary artery disease and are already taking a standard cholesterol-lowering medication. Researchers will use heart scans to measure if the plaque shrinks after 12 weeks of treatment.
