New drug cocktail shows promise for Hard-to-Treat cancers

NCT ID NCT06394414

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new drug called YL201 combined with an immunotherapy (serplulimab) and sometimes chemotherapy in people with advanced solid tumors. The study has two parts: first, finding the safest dose, and then seeing if the combination shrinks tumors. About 187 participants with cancers like lung or nasopharyngeal cancer are enrolled in China.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

YL201 (a drug) combined with serplulimab (an immunotherapy) and optionally platinum-based chemotherapy

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors like lung or nasopharyngeal cancer.

What could go wrong

This is an early Phase 1 trial, so it is primarily testing safety and dosing. It is too soon to know if the combination will work, and side effects are unknown.
