Summary

This study aimed to see if chewing gum with xylitol (a natural sweetener) could prevent cavities in children aged 5 to 14 living in a remote region of India. Children would have chewed xylitol gum three times a day for one school year. However, the study was withdrawn before any children took part, so no results are available.
