Summary
This study tested whether a new weekly injection called XW003 could help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone weren't enough. For 24 weeks, participants received either XW003 or a placebo injection, followed by 28 weeks where everyone received XW003. Researchers measured changes in blood sugar levels, weight, and safety to see if the treatment was effective and well-tolerated.
