Summary
This study tested a new medicine called XW003 in 211 adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar was not well managed by diet and exercise alone. Participants received either XW003 or a placebo (dummy pill) to see if the drug could safely lower blood sugar levels. The main goal was to measure changes in HbA1c, a key marker of long-term blood sugar control.
