New drug may boost brain power in schizophrenia patients

Summary
This study tests whether a new medicine, Xanomeline/Trospium (XT), can improve thinking and memory in adults with schizophrenia. Current treatments help with hallucinations but not with cognitive problems. The study will follow 171 participants for up to a year, measuring changes in cognition, symptoms, and daily life. It aims to see if targeting cognition can lead to better real-world recovery.
