First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested a tiny implant called XEN in 150 people whose glaucoma was still out of control even after previous eye surgeries and medications. The goal was to see if the implant could safely lower eye pressure and reduce the need for eye drops over the long term. Researchers measured changes in eye pressure, vision, and visual field, and tracked how many medications patients needed.
