First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at X-linked juvenile retinoschisis, an inherited eye disease that causes vision loss mainly in young males. Researchers want to understand why and how the retina splits, leading to worsening sight over time. Participants include patients aged 9 months and older, female carriers, and family members. They will have eye exams, retina photos, vision tests, and blood draws for genetic analysis to help pave the way for future treatments.
