Can writing your future story curb teen drinking?
NCT ID NCT06191861
Summary
This study is testing if a simple 20-minute writing exercise can help recent high school graduates make healthier decisions about alcohol. Researchers want to see if writing about a person's desired or feared future self can change how they see themselves in relation to drinking and reduce risks for alcohol misuse. Nearly 500 young adults will complete the writing task and be followed for a year to measure changes in their drinking identity and behavior.
