Cool wrist gadget tested for hot flash relief

NCT ID NCT05595213

Summary

This small, completed pilot study tested whether a cooling device worn on the wrist could help reduce the severity of hot flashes. 27 adult men and women who experienced frequent, bothersome hot flashes tried both a real cooling device and a look-alike placebo device for two weeks each. The goal was to see if the active cooling provided better symptom relief than the placebo.
