Wound vacuum trial aims to slash infection risk for diabetic surgery patients
NCT ID NCT07392853
Summary
This study is testing if a special wound vacuum dressing can prevent serious infections in diabetic patients who need urgent abdominal surgery. It will compare the vacuum dressing to standard wound care in 110 high-risk patients. Researchers will also check if the potential benefits are worth the extra cost for the healthcare system.
