Race against time: testing new wound care for deadly infections
NCT ID NCT07120386
Summary
This study compares two types of wound vacuum therapy for treating severe flesh-eating infections. It tests whether adding a gentle irrigation system to the vacuum helps patients heal faster and reduces their chances of returning to the hospital. The pilot trial will enroll 30 adults who need emergency surgery for these dangerous infections.
