Summary
This study is testing if a special vacuum-assisted wound cleaning system helps heal severe pressure sores better than traditional wet-to-dry dressings. It will involve 62 hospitalized patients with deep sores on their lower back or tailbone area. Researchers will compare how long patients stay in the hospital, the number of wound cleanings needed, and whether the sores close successfully.
