Vacuum bandage tested to speed healing after amputation
NCT ID NCT06493539
Summary
This small pilot study aimed to test if a special vacuum bandage system helps surgical wounds heal better after a leg amputation, compared to standard bandage care. The plan was to enroll 6-10 people who had an amputation and randomly assign them to either the new vacuum therapy or standard care. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
