New device could help surgeons predict which wounds will heal successfully

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called WounDx that helps surgeons decide when traumatic wounds are ready for surgical closure. The device analyzes wound fluid and patient information to predict whether a wound will heal properly after surgery. The study will enroll 40 adults with large extremity wounds to see if the device works well in real hospital settings.
