Can a smart cuff spot a hidden heart rhythm problem?

NCT ID NCT04464499

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study checks if a special blood pressure monitor (BPM Core) can correctly detect atrial fibrillation, a common heart rhythm issue, by comparing its readings to a standard 12-lead ECG. About 160 adults aged 18 and older will take part. The goal is to see how well the device's automatic detection works, which could make spotting this condition easier at home.
