First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a procedure called catheter ablation can improve quality of life in people aged 80 and older who have atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat). Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real procedure or a sham (fake) procedure. The main goal is to see if those who get the real treatment feel better and have fewer symptoms after 6 months.
