New wireless sensor could improve jaundice treatment for newborns

NCT ID NCT07057635

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a new wireless sensor that continuously measures the amount of light therapy a newborn receives for jaundice. Currently, doctors check light levels only once a day with a handheld device, which may not be accurate. The goal is to see if the new sensor provides better, real-time data to improve treatment. Nine babies in the NICU will participate.
