Shorter antibiotic course tested for wisdom teeth to fight superbugs
NCT ID NCT06368102
Summary
This study tested whether a shorter course of preventive antibiotics is just as effective as a longer one at stopping infections after wisdom tooth surgery. It involved 70 healthy adults having both lower wisdom teeth removed. The goal was to find the shortest effective antibiotic use to help combat the global problem of antibiotic resistance.
