Sticky sensors vs. spot checks: can constant monitoring catch hidden dangers after back surgery?

NCT ID NCT07105189

Summary

This study is testing whether a wireless chest sensor can help nurses better monitor patients recovering from major spinal deformity surgery. The sensor continuously tracks heart rate, breathing, and other vital signs, sending alerts to nurses' phones, aiming to catch problems earlier than standard periodic checks. The main goal is to see if nurses and patients find this continuous monitoring system practical and acceptable to use in a hospital ward.
