First-in-Human trial: wireless brain sensor could end 'Constant Fear' for hydrocephalus families

NCT ID NCT06402786

Summary

This study is testing the safety of a new wireless sensor for people with hydrocephalus, a condition involving fluid buildup in the brain. The sensor is implanted alongside a standard drainage tube and allows patients or caregivers to check brain pressure from home for three months. The goal is to provide early warning of dangerous pressure changes, potentially reducing emergency hospital visits and anxiety for families.
