Summary

This study looked at two new blood tests, called exchangeable copper (EC) and relative exchangeable copper (REC), to see if they can better monitor copper levels in people with Wilson's disease. Researchers compared these tests with standard urine and blood copper measurements in 81 adults. The goal was to improve how doctors track the disease, not to test a new treatment.
