New blood tests could simplify monitoring for rare copper disease

NCT ID NCT07462026

Summary

This study looked at whether two new blood tests for measuring copper are better than the standard 24-hour urine test for monitoring people with Wilson's disease. Researchers compared the new tests to the old methods in 81 adult patients who already have the disease. The goal was to see if these simpler blood tests could help doctors track copper levels and manage treatment more easily.
