Study tests skipping radiation for early breast cancer
NCT ID NCT00165256
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether removing just the tumor with surgery is enough for women with a very early, low-grade breast condition called DCIS. About 158 participants will have only the surgery and then be followed with regular check-ups and mammograms to see if the cancer comes back. The goal is to find out if some women can safely avoid extra treatments like radiation.
