First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study aims to understand why some men with an enlarged prostate (BPH) do not respond to the drug Finasteride. Researchers will use MRI scans to look for inflammation in the prostate, hoping to predict which patients will benefit from the drug and which should try other treatments. About 120 men aged 50 and older who are scheduled for a prostate biopsy will participate.
