First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how the bacteria in your gut affect how many calories your body absorbs from food. Researchers will measure methane in breath to group participants and compare energy lost in stool after eating two different but calorie-matched diets. The goal is to understand why the same number of calories can affect people differently. 60 healthy adults aged 18-65 will take part.
