First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at why experienced anesthesiologists sometimes make decisions that go against proven best practices when managing muscle relaxation reversal at the end of surgery. Researchers interviewed 154 anesthesia providers and used realistic scenarios to understand their thought processes. The goal was to develop a method to better understand clinical decision-making, not to test a new treatment.
