First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how two different proteins—whey and egg white—affect blood ammonia levels in people with advanced liver disease caused by alcohol. High ammonia can harm brain function. Fifty patients will try both proteins on separate days, and their blood and thinking skills will be checked. The goal is to find out which protein is safer and guide better nutrition for liver patients.
