Cancer hospital tests softer rides to ease patient pain during transport
NCT ID NCT06902883
Summary
This study tested two improvements for hospital wheelchair transport: a new system to connect IV poles directly to wheelchairs (saving time during transfers) and a more comfortable seat. Researchers wanted to see if these changes reduced transport time and pain while increasing comfort for cancer patients moving between hospital departments. The study involved 154 adult patients at a French cancer hospital who were being transported in wheelchairs.
