Can a simple filter stop millions of child stomach illnesses?

NCT ID NCT04826991

Summary

This study is testing if installing an ultraviolet (UV) water filter in homes with private wells can prevent stomach and respiratory illnesses in young children. Researchers are comparing real UV filters to fake ones in about 900 families to see if cleaner water reduces sickness. The goal is to understand how often well water causes illness and if home treatment is an effective solution.
