Heavy blankets may ease surgery anxiety

NCT ID NCT07219329

Summary

This small pilot study explores whether weighted blankets are practical and acceptable for patients having total knee replacement surgery. Researchers will give 30 patients either a weighted blanket or a regular blanket before and after their operation to see if it helps reduce anxiety and pain. The main goal is to see if patients find the blankets comfortable and would use them again, while also checking effects on anxiety, pain, and vital signs.
