Scientists probe why weight loss surgery sometimes fails
NCT ID NCT07178704
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people lose muscle and strength after weight loss surgery, and why some regain weight. Researchers will follow 110 patients for a year after surgery, tracking their diet, strength, and body composition. They will also collect gut tissue and compare results to healthy volunteers to learn what influences long-term success.
