Scientists scan organs to solve weight loss mystery

NCT ID NCT07415213

Summary

This study aims to understand why metabolism slows down more than expected after people lose weight, a problem that makes it hard to keep weight off. Researchers are comparing three common lifestyle approaches—resistance training, dieting, and time-restricted eating—in overweight adults over 10 weeks. They will use MRI scans to see if changes in the size of key organs like the liver and kidneys help explain this metabolic slowdown.
