Scientists probe why some teens burn fewer calories after eating
NCT ID NCT07400159
Summary
This study aims to understand how weight loss affects the body's calorie-burning process after eating (called dietary thermogenesis) in obese adolescents. Researchers will compare 30 obese teens before and after weight loss to normal-weight teens, measuring energy expenditure and hunger feelings. The goal is to gather knowledge about metabolism to better understand energy balance in youth obesity.
