Scientists simulate weight loss to unlock why Teens' bodies fight to regain pounds

NCT ID NCT07155746

Summary

This study aims to understand how the bodies of adolescents with obesity use energy during walking after a simulated weight loss. Researchers will use a special anti-gravity treadmill to temporarily reduce the weight of 20 participants while they walk, measuring their energy use and effort. The goal is to learn more about the body's natural defenses against weight loss, which might explain why keeping weight off can be so difficult.
