New injection aims to help shed pounds in major obesity trial

Summary
This study is testing whether a new injectable drug called efsubaglutide alfa can help people lose weight. Over 1,000 overweight or obese adults will receive either the drug or a placebo (dummy injection) for up to 48 weeks while following diet and exercise advice. The main goal is to see how much body weight changes from the start of the study.
