Weight loss shot before knee surgery: could it cut complications?
NCT ID NCT06807970
Summary
This study is testing if using a weight loss medication (semaglutide) before total knee replacement surgery can lead to better outcomes for patients who are obese. It will involve 54 people with knee arthritis who are scheduled for surgery. The main goal is to see if this approach is practical and to gather early data on whether it helps reduce pain and other problems after the operation.
