Doctors question standard drug dosing for obese patients in Life-Threatening shock

NCT ID NCT04153578

Summary

This study looked back at medical records to compare two different ways of giving blood pressure drugs to patients with septic shock, a severe infection. Researchers wanted to see if dosing based on a patient's weight leads to better or worse results than a standard fixed dose, especially for patients who are obese. The goal was to find the safest and most effective dosing method for all patients.
