Weekly pill could shrink painful growths with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT04861064
Summary
This study is testing if taking the medication sirolimus just once a week can safely shrink painful vascular malformations (abnormal tangles of veins or lymph vessels). Researchers hope this weekly schedule will work as well as daily dosing but cause fewer side effects. The trial will involve 24 patients aged 2 and older, who will take the medication for at least 6 months while doctors track changes in their lesions and quality of life.
